The map and print collection of Lindh-Reenpää
The oldest material on these pages comes from a large collection of maps, prints and books about the Baltic Sea region originally put together by the Swedish map collector C.H. Lindh and later acquired by the Finnish book collector and publisher Heikki A. Reenpää (1922–2020).
Here is offered only a small part (mainly maps of Finland and some of Sweden) of the large collection comprising of about 2000 items of material from the years 1482 to 1900 and depicting the Baltic Sea and the countries around it (Nordic countries, Baltic countries, Russia, Poland, Northern Germany). The great majority of the items will be sold in 2026-2027 by the auction house Reiss & Sohn in Köningstein im Taunus in Germany. (https://www.reiss-sohn.de/en/)
